Overview
Margot Robbie recently talked to the media on different topics which includes Oppenheimer and Barbie. In the given interview she said, “We have no plans to move out. You should change your date if you’re afraid to face us.”
During a discussion with various actors on actors given by air, it’s Margo Robbie’s universe and we’re all just living in it. Margo Robbie, Killi, and Murphy had a conversation about anything from their shared love of movies to favourite summer blockbusters.
Margot on Roven
During a chat between Oppenheimer and Barbie, she discloses that she received a call from Oppenheimer producer Charles Roven, who requested that the Barbie release date be rescheduled to avoid conflict with Christopher Nolan’s movie about atomic bombs.
Since we had collaborated on a few other films together, Oppenheimer, one of the producers, Chen, phoned me. He said, “I think you guys should move your date,” and I responded, “We’re not moving out if you’re scared to be up against us.” We’re not relocating, but Margo says she’s always believed it was a good idea for Barbie and Oppenheimer to come out on the same day. She simply thought it was better for them to move.
The world obviously agreed that Oppenheim and Bobby made a great double bill, but I believe that both of these movies demonstrate the audience’s appetite for cinema because so many people were saying they would watch Oppenheimer before Barb. I think this is a really great pairing. I thought to myself, “You know, people are weird; they have specific, varied tastes, and they don’t like to be told what to do.” Audiences, on the other hand, dislike being told, “You should see this,” so they will make the decision and pique their own interest.
I believe that what happened with both of our films was an example of this, where the audience decided that, yes, this was the right thing to do. Christopher Nolan had always planned for it to be released as a big summer tentpole, and he has this kind of superstition surrounding that date. Both films were released on July 21, 2023, and Barbie became the highest-grossing film in Warner Bros. history, grossing $1.4 billion worldwide, while Oppenheimer became the highest-grossing biopic ever, grossing $950 million worldwide.
Finally
I believe this happened because, well, both films were excellent, and there was a significant diversity offered by both films; in fact, that summer had a huge variety of films in theatres. Additionally, I believe that they connected in a way that neither you nor I, nor the studios, could have predicted. You’re right, I believe the filmmakers also caused them a great deal of excitement. Indeed, you’re correct. Fans were eagerly awaiting both the next Chris Nolan movie and the next Grand Theft Auto movie, and it was thrilling to have both at the same time.
